Releasing a bird is not the end of the story but its continuation. Many of our birds we let go in the very place where they were once found, and we fit GPS trackers to see how their fate unfolds.

This equipment is not cheap, and we are grateful to the partners who help us acquire it. The tracker data is not only care for a particular bird but real science: the routes of released birds let us study how they survive and adapt after rehabilitation.

We are especially glad that most people who find an injured bird then sincerely root for it and follow its later life.
